Welcome Back from Superintendent Chambers

Dear Pilots,

Welcome Back!  It is a joy serving as your superintendent.  As I embark upon my 26th year as an educator at Fulton County Schools, home is truly where the heart is!  August 25th, will begin the new school year for our students, and we are delighted to have them return to us.  This year has already brought mask mandates, quarantines and other challenges. Still, we are determined to “Achieve Excellence, Together” this year!

We are ready to have all students back in our buildings “learning up a storm!” Building strong relationships and partnerships with our students, families and community is of utmost importance to us in our quest to be one of the top ranked school district in Kentucky. The 20-21 school year brought adversities, but we, as Pilots Prevailed!

Proficiency, Positive Relationships and Pilot Pride remains at the core of all we do. This year our district’s theme is “At Home at the Pilot House!” With that being said, we want every student to feel comfortable at school.  The faculty and staff have worked tirelessly to prepare for their return.  We will do whatever we can to support them academically, socially, and emotionally!  Together, we will ACHIEVE.

We recognize how unpopular the transition back to school in masks may be for many and our goal is to make sure that all students, faculty and staff feel safe, welcomed and embraced as they enter into the schools. We care about our school family and are committed to ensuring their safety and well-being.

Having elementary, middle and high school students in our school buildings every day is a top priority for us as educators, and we take our “calling” seriously!  Pilot families, faculty and staff, please join in the effort to keep in person learning ongoing and everyone safe as we begin our endeavor to “ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE, TOGETHER” at the Pilot House!
